This was perhaps a long awaited coup that was waiting to unfold in the WWE. The ECW brand once again rose from the ashes under Paul Heyman. He scheduled a pay per view where the WWE brand was completely outsmarted and outdone by the ECW superstars. It was upto John Cena to retain his WWE title and keep the brand afloat as he squared off against RVD in an ‘Extreme rules’ match.
