Roman Reigns did not let this go and waited for the right moment to strike. During his Undisputed WWE Universal Title defense against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, The Tribal Chief decided to attack Seth the same way he was betrayed by Rollins all those years ago. This cost him the title, as Cody capitalized on the situation and won the match.

However, Seth is not the only one to turn on Roman. Sami Zayn attacked Reigns after months of manipulation and abuse at the Royal Rumble 2023 Premium Live Event. Sami instantly faced the consequences as the other members of The Bloodline brutally assaulted him.
