Wendy Choo, originally recognized as Karen Yu, is a professional wrestler of American-Chinese descent. As of November 2024, she is showcasing her wrestling prowess on WWE's NXT brand. A native of New York City, she initiated her athletic journey at the age of five as a gymnast before switching to volleyball. She obtained an NCAA Division II scholarship to compete for the Queens College Knights, where she also studied Physical Education. Upon graduating, she earned a master's in teaching from Lehman College and worked as a Physical Education teacher, as well as a gymnastics coach, prior to launching her wrestling career.

In 2014, Wendy made her debut in the Centereach, New York-based Victory Pro Wrestling (VPW) promotion, performing under her original name. Four years later, she joined WWE and developed her career by exploring different characters on the NXT roster. Initially, she portrayed Mei Ying, a mysterious and destructive figure. In 2022, she shifted gears, adopting a more cheerful and lighthearted persona as Wendy Choo. As of November 2024, she has embraced a darker and more intense version of her Wendy Choo character.
