Nikki Bella's husband, Artem Chigvintsev, will not be charged, the District Attorney office in Napa, California announced on Tuesday, almost a month after his arrest for accusations of felony domestic violence. This followed after the drama of the past few weeks surrounding the former WWE Superstar.
Per latest information, the prosecutors reportedly didn't have enough evidence to press charges on Artem Chigvintsev for felony domestic violence. However, they will re-open the case should new evidence show up in the future.
"Mr. Chigvintsev has maintained his innocence from the beginning. He is grateful that the District Attorney accurately assessed what took place, and determined he should not be charged," his attorneys, Dmitry and Eisner Gorin said, while speaking to TMZ.
This decision came almost four weeks after the professional dancer was arrested for felony domestic violence and injury to a spouse. Chigvintsev, who was arrested on August 29, didn't stay in prison, as he paid a bond of $25K at the time.

Artem Chigvintsev asks for privacy amid divorce proceedings with Nikki Bella
After not being charged for felony domestic violence, Artem Chigvintsev will have to focus next on the divorce proceedings with his wife Nikki Bella (original name Nikki Garcia), as the couple will be in a legal battle over custody of their son.
After the Napa County District Attorney's announcement, Chigvintsev, who first met Nikki Bella on the Dancing with the Stars show, asked for privacy, as he is preparing for the next steps in his life.
"He enjoys tremendous support from the community, and requests privacy for the pending divorce matter. He loves his son, wants the best possible for him, and looks forward to the next chapter in his life professionally and as a father," his attorneys told TMZ.
As for Nikki Bella, she has yet to react to the District Attorney's announcement, as she has been focused on protecting her son. The couple has been supposedly living separately since Artem Chigvintsev's arrest.
For her part, Nikki's sister, and former WWE Superstar as well, Brie Bella, shared an update on the condition of her sister, saying that she was going through a lot at the moment, and needed people to respect her privacy on the matter.
