The Rock made a shocking return during the closing moments of the recently concluded WWE Premium Live Event, Bad Blood 2024. This moment has left the fans on a cliffhanger, eagerly waiting to see what's next.

The Rock came out and simply stared into the ring where Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Jimmy Uso were present before exiting without saying a word, keeping everyone guessing about his true intentions. Some fans were also curious about the title belt he was carrying on his shoulder. It was actually The People's Championship.

It was the same belt that was handed to him at the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony by Muhammad Ali's wife, Lonnie Ali. During her speech, she praised The Rock for taking Ali’s nickname, "The People's Champion," and presented the title in his honor.

Since then, The Rock has made several appearances with the People's Championship, including at WrestleMania 40 and most recently at Bad Blood. As of now, it appears to be a commemorative title, with no indication that it will ever be defended or put on the line in any match.

WWE analyst predicts The Rock's next appearance

After The Rock's surprise appearance at Bad Blood, fans have been speculating about when he might return, with some believing he could even show up on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

However, WWE analyst Sam Roberts disagrees. On a recent episode of his podcast, Roberts expressed that The Rock might not be back in full capacity anytime soon. He believes The Great One's return was simply a way to remind everyone involved in the Bloodline saga that he's still watching.

Roberts predicted that The Rock's next appearance might not happen until January 2025, possibly on the debut episode of RAW on Netflix on January 6.

"I don't think The Rock is back back. I think we got drip-fed. I think a little breadcrumbing and that's it. I think The Rock just peeked in here to let everybody know, 'I'm still around, I'm still watching, and I may very well still be involved.' But ultimately, I don't think he's back. The Rock may not be back until January. I don't think we're gonna see The Rock again until January," Roberts said.
