Social media fans were curious to know what Cody had in that briefcase. There have been speculations that WWE was bringing back the Winged Eagle Title for the show, and the champ is presumably carrying that belt in that case.

Fightful Select had earlier reported that there have been discussions in the WWE locker over bringing back the Winged Eagle Title, and Cody Rhodes has been pushing for this for a while. It was said that The American Nightmare has been talking about bringing back the title belt since 2022, and he was still working on it as of September 2024.

The American Nightmare will defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against his friend-turned-enemy Kevin Owens. The two have squared off against each other earlier at Bash in Belin in August 2024, where Cody won the bout.

However, this time things are extremely tense between them. It started after Kevin Owens attacked Cody Rhodes after WWE Bad Blood in the parking lot. Owens later confessed that he did so because Cody had allied with Roman Reigns for a match that night.

Things turned sour between them when Owens ended up severely injuring Randy Orton, and blamed Cody Rhodes for it. The Undisputed WWE Champion has been looking to get his hands on The Prizefighter since then. The two had a physical brawl at this week's SmackDown backstage.
