MJF has been in AEW since the start of the promotion. Initially, AEW's roster had many independent wrestlers. But with Tony Khan's promotion experiencing growing popularity, many former WWE Superstars have started signing with the company.
Although not many stars have been released from AEW, no former AEW wrestler has stepped into WWE after their release. If he joins WWE, he would be the first wrestler to jump ship.
The Salt of the Earth would almost certainly be catapulted into the main event picture as a lead heel if he was ever to make the move to Vince McMahon's promotion. He'd be used to increase the support and adulation for the babyfaces of the company while being one of the top guys.
#1. An AEW vs WWE ratings war
MJF has persistently stated that he is going to start a bidding war in 2024 between AEW and WWE. Inside reports have also been stating that WWE is interested in signing him. If he was to sign with WWE, there would be even more back and forth between the two promotions.
This would generate interest in both products amongst wrestling fans and ignite a ratings war. Although WWE is dominant now, it will be interesting to see how the competition between the two promotions progresses moving foward.
