The Three Stages of Hell match that took place between John Cena and Ryback ended with Cena applying the AA on Ryback on top of the ambulance with Ryback going through the roof. The lumberjack, the tables match and the ambulance match were chosen as the three stages. Ryback won the first stage by pinning Cena. But Cena came back and won the remaining two stages to retain his title. He ran Ryback to the table and then the AA on top of the ambulance gave Cena the victory.

After the match ended and Payback went off air, Cena threw his hands up in the air at the top of the stage. There was a mixed response from the crowd and then Cena exited to the back.
