Austin Theory wrestled in a surprise match in the latest edition of WWE SmackDown as the former United States Champion clashed against Carmelo Hayes in a singles bout. However, the match ended abruptly, which generated a major concern among fans regarding the status of both superstars.

For those unaware, just a few hours before the show, reports surfaced that the company had planned a match between Carmelo and Theory for tonight's show. The reports came to fruition, and Melo made an unexpected appearance on the blue brand and wrestled against the former Money in the Bank winner.

Both the superstars delivered a classic performance in the match with a few bumps and jaw-dropping moments.

However, the conclusion of the match seemed to be something the Stamford-based company might not have planned as things ended up after both stars hit their necks hard on the ring surface. This scary incident took place when Austin Theory tried to deliver a top rope bump to Carmelo, leading up to both landing directly on their necks.
