#1 AJ Styles vs. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman largely comes across as a man with no direction at this point. He has often as not been pushed at or around the main event level, and yet his failure to capture a world title, and particularly his subjugation to the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35 suggest that WWE doesn’t mean to actually pull the trigger on him as “the guy.”
As a heel, AJ Styles would have a lot of natural programs awaiting him opposite fellow relatively small talents. Braun Strowman could offer the opposite concept as an overwhelming big man force gunning for Styles, particularly if the Phenomenal One was carrying the Universal Championship. Without the title in the picture, all bets are off, as Strowman may well mow over his smaller opponent. With the title on the line, the outcome feels less clear, though this could be where a heater or faction would come to Styles’s aid.
