#1 Kane retires opposite the Dead Man
As referenced earlier in this article, Kane isn’t getting any younger. While he is still in objectively remarkable physical shape for a man who is fifty-one years old, his most recent years wrestling for WWE haven’t exactly dazzled audiences. On top of that, he was elected to the position of mayor for Knox County. That’s more than a full-time job, and Kane explicitly stated that if he won it would probably mean the end of his wrestling career.
If Kane is hanging up his boots for good to focus on his new leadership role and to give his ageing body a well-deserved rest, there would be no more fitting opponent to finish up against than The Undertaker. While one could also argue that teaming with his brother would offer a satisfying conclusion to his run, the man beneath the mask found his footing as a WWE star playing The Phenom’s antagonist, and one last match against him is an appropriate way in which to come full circle.
