When John Cena walked through the curtain at Money in the Bank 2024, he shocked the entire WWE Universe. However, moments later, the 16-time WWE World Champion sent fans into deeper shock when he announced he would be retiring from professional wrestling next year.
While Cena did not reveal a date, The Franchise Player laid out a plan for his Retirement Tour. However, the entire scenario has led to a lot of curiosity around the date of the Hollywood star's final in-ring performance. Based on his statements, it seems like John Cena will either retire on Boxing Day (December 26, 2025) or on December 29, 2025.
At Money in the Bank, The Doctor of Thuganomics announced that he would be wrestling from January 2025 to December 2025. Since WWE has no Premium Live Events in December, it would be fair to assume that Cena would either retire on the Boxing Day episode of SmackDown or on the December 29, 2025, edition of RAW.
