The final PPV of the decade, TLC 2019, is now in the history books. Even though WWE made small mistakes during the show, some matches on the card were brilliant. However, it's now time to move on as we set our sights squarely on Royal Rumble 2020 - the event which officially kicks off The Road to WrestleMania 36.
We saw some feuds end at TLC 2019. However, WWE extended a few other feuds, as the Universal Championship feud between Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan is here to stay for a good while, while WWE has no intention to put an end to the rivalry between Rusev and Lana (with Bobby Lashley).
In this article, we'll take a look at a few Superstars and analyze what's next for them after TLC 2019.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The Revival (Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson)
Being in the WWE tag division is a tough task. If you aren't competing for the tag team titles, you are most likely not given any screen time at all. This has happened to most of the popular tag teams in WWE.
For example, the Authors of Pain just came back to WWE TV after a long hiatus. Does anyone even remember the Colons? Although Primo Colon was suspended recently, most WWE fans weren't aware that the Superstar was still signed to the company.
The Revival may follow the same path, however, during the TLC encounter between Roman Reigns and King Corbin, we saw Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder making a save for Corbin. The Revival and the New Day were involved in a brawl that also involved Reigns and Corbin, therefore we could see the feud between The Revival and New Day for a bit longer
Roman Reigns and King Corbin
WWE are still hanging on to the feud between Roman Reigns and King Corbin. The Lone Wolf's 2019 has mostly revolved around feuding with the Shield and the faction's members individually.
In the first quarter, Corbin formed a trio with Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley, feuding with the Shield. In the next quarter, Corbin chased Seth Rollins' Universal Title, and for the past few months, Corbin and Reigns have been going at each other.
Most fans expected WWE to put an end to the rivalry at TLC 2019. However, it seems that WWE will be extending this feud for a while, as Corbin with the help of The Revival, Dolph Ziggler, and a few security guards, defeated Reigns in a TLC match.
We expect WWE to continue this feud until Royal Rumble 2020, where these two Superstars will have a grudge match, with Reigns scoring the pinfall.
Both Superstars could also enter the Royal Rumble match on the same night. After all, it has been rumored that Reigns will win the 2020 Royal Rumble to challenge The Fiend at WrestleMania 36.
Becky Lynch
As the RAW Women's Champion, the feud against the Kabuki Warriors might be the biggest filler feud Becky Lynch has had yet. Asuka and Kairi Sane won the TLC match against the team of Charlotte Flair and Lynch clean, and now neither Charlotte nor Lynch has any reason to go anywhere near the tag team titles.
We can expect to see Lynch kick off her Road to WrestleMania 36 with a RAW Women's Title defense at Royal Rumble 2020.
On the latest episode of RAW, WWE dropped some hints about The Man's next challenger. Lynch said she would like to defeat Asuka, as the Empress of Tomorrow is the one person she has not been able to defeat.
If Ronda Rousey makes her return at Royal Rumble 2020 and wins the Women's Rumble match, we could see the long-awaited singles clash between Rousey and Lynch at WrestleMania 36.
It's also rumored that Shayna Baszler lost her NXT Women's Title to Rhea Ripley so she could move to RAW and challenge Lynch at WrestleMania 36 if Ronda doesn't come back in time for the Show of Shows.
In that case, the Queen of Spades could win the Royal Rumble to replace Rousey in the above-mentioned scenario.
The Miz
Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt will continue their feud for a while longer. However, the most important question is - did Wyatt change The Miz after their TLC encounter?
The Fiend has changed all his opponents so far. Finn Balor has reverted to his days as Prince Devitt and is now on top of NXT, Seth Rollins has reverted to his days in 2015 as the top heel of the company, and Bryan is now in a hybrid state of his early 2010 run.
Will we see the A-Lister go back to his days as the cunning heel? Or was Wyatt without the power to change his opponent's character?
In an episode of Firefly Funhouse, Wyatt revealed his power of healing when he resurrected Rambling Rabbit after the attack of Rollins. So it's apparent that he also possesses the powers of The Fiend, at least to a degree.
The Miz is likely to play an important role in the upcoming battle between Bryan and The Fiend.
