To be a WWE Superstar, an individual needs to have the ability to take risks in the ring. When these risks pay off, they lead to some of the most beautiful moments in wrestling. However, at times, they also lead to unfortunate injuries, which sometimes lead to the most unfortunate outcomes.
As years continue to pass by, WWE has done its best to make the ring a safe environment for its competitors. The Stamford-based promotion has well-trained officials who can recognize if a wrestler inside the ring is injured. If the competitor is injured, they immediately call an end to the action.
However, while calling an end to the action, they also raise their arms and make an 'X' sign. This X sign made by a WWE official means one of the competitors inside the ring cannot continue due to an injury and needs immediate medical assistance. This sign made by the official is key as it enables the injured wrestler to receive treatment.
Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
During the latest episode of SmackDown, the WWE Universe witnessed the official raise an X sign during the match between Austin Theory and Carmelo Hayes. The Stamford-based promotion later revealed that both superstars had suffered face contusions but would eventually be fine.
WWE announced date for Roman Reigns' SmackDown return
While SmackDown currently has some of the best talents on their roster, the return of Roman Reigns is something many fans look forward to. After all, The Tribal Chief has cemented himself as one of the most important figures in modern-day wrestling with an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship reign of over 1000 days.
While fans missed Reigns on the latest episode of SmackDown, they would not need to wait long to witness him on-screen as the Stamford-based promotion has announced a date for his return. As per WWE, Roman Reigns will return to SmackDown next week.
The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is set to be involved in a contract signing for his upcoming Fatal Four-Way Match against Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles at the 2024 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. This segment between the four men will be a great watch, given the animosity they share.
It will also be interesting to see if Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline interfere in the contract signing. When these four men will meet in the middle of the ring next week, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis will have plenty to do to ensure they do not beat each other up.
