Bad Bunny recently changed his entrance music in WWE for his Backlash match against Damian Priest, and it definitely hyped up the crowd. The song also didn't fall short in showcasing wrestling references.
Ever since his WWE debut in 2021, he has been using his song Booker T as his entrance music, which he also performed live on that year's Royal Rumble with the titular wrestler present. In the song, the rapper continuously compares himself to the Hall of Famer while pointing out his own achievements. It could be seen that in a way, it meant resounding success that is unexpected.
For Backlash, Bad Bunny used his 2017 hit song Chambea as his entrance music. The music video featured the iconic Big Gold World Heavyweight Championship belt and even had Ric Flair present. In a literal sense, Chambea means work, stay working, or even putting in work. Which is what the Puerto Rican artist has been doing in recent years. As of this writing, the music video of Chambea has more than 337 million views on YouTube.
The 29-year-old rapper put on a successful and entertaining match in his home country this past weekend against Damian Priest, who is also of Puerto Rican descent. Aside from the competitors, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, Savio Vega, Carlito, and LWO were also present during the bout. The high-profile match concluded with Bad Bunny gaining victory.
When will fans possibly hear Bad Bunny's entrance music again in WWE?
The Puerto Rican rapper's presentation on the music stage is highly praised by many people, and the same could be said for his in-ring skills. Due to Bad Bunny's impressive performance last weekend, it's no wonder the Stamford-based promotion is already eyeing a return by him.
According to a report from WRKD Wrestling, the mainstream rapper might return to SummerSlam in some capacity. It added that many superstars even celebrated with him backstage after his bout.
"In case it wasn’t apparent, Bad Bunny’s #Backlash match absolutely exceeded expectations backstage with many superstars lined up at Gorilla to celebrate with him. There’s hopes backstage in using him in some form for #SummerSlam."
The 29-year-old is definitely more than welcome to return to the ring. It remains to be seen who he will face next time, and which entrance music he will use for his next bout.
