What is Paul Heyman's role in The Bloodline behind the scenes? Exploring The Wiseman's answer

Paul Heyman has been involved with The Bloodline since its inception in 2021. He was always by Roman Reigns' side, guiding him towards success. During Reigns' absence, the WWE Hall of Famer made sure everyone abided by the rules set by the former Tribal Chief.

The Wiseman not returning with The OTC at SummerSlam 2024 was quite a shock for WWE fans. However, little did everyone know that Paul Heyman would make his presence felt when Roman Reigns needed him the most. Well, Heyman did keep up with his share of the bargain and ensured The OTC had a fifth member ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames.

Interestingly, Heyman's work with The OG Bloodline doesn't end once he leaves the arena. It continues backstage, and he is involved in the decisions that are made off-camera as well. During an interview on SHAK Wrestling, Heyman explained that he is close to the family and offers them advice whenever and wherever necessary.

"One day, Roman and I were in the ring, doing our thing and just something of the way I phrased something, something that I had described, Roman turned to me and just said, 'Wiseman.' As soon as he said it, it just clicked. It just clicked with everyone that heard it. He felt it was just a more app description than Special Counsel. So, the legitimate position that I think I hold with that entire family would be to be their Wiseman. I'm an advisor, and a very close one. A member of the family and advising from within." While Paul Heyman has been extremely loyal to Roman Reigns, last week's episode of WWE SmackDown showed The Wiseman and CM Punk leaving the arena together. This raised questions about whether The Wiseman's loyalty has shifted from Reigns to Punk in the past couple of months.

The OTC learned how promptly The Wiseman would get things done when it was just Jimmy Uso and himself following SummerSlam 2024. After The Bloodline vs. The OG Bloodline was set, Roman Reigns tried to get in touch with Paul Heyman but his number was out of service.

The Wiseman returned on SmackDown to introduce CM Punk as the fifth member and even acknowledged Roman Reigns, but they did not share an embracing moment on TV that night.

On tonight's episode of SmackDown, Heyman might finally give Roman Reigns an explanation about why The OTC couldn't get in touch with him and why The Wiseman did not reach out to the former Bloodline leader.
