In an epic turn of events at WWE SummerSlam, Dominik Mysterio shockingly betrayed Rhea Ripley. This allowed Liv Morgan to pick up the win against her arch-nemesis and retain her Women's World Championship.

Not only did Dominik cost his Mami the match, but he also went on to kiss Liv Morgan after the match, right in front of a devastated Rhea Ripley. In response to this shocking betrayal, The Eradicator's real-life husband, Buddy Matthews, sent a message on X/Twitter.

In what seems to be a sarcastic post, Buddy asked AEW President Tony Khan if he could help his wife after the unexpected betrayal at the SummerSlam Premium Live Event.

Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?

Buddy currently wrestles for All Elite Wrestling and is a member of The House of Black stable. He recently signed a new deal with the company. He and Rhea Ripley got married in June this year.

Former WWE star calls out the match finish to Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley as 'lazy'

During the closing stages of Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam, Dominik Mysterio slid a steel chair into the ring and started distracting the referee. Liv took advantage of this and hit her finisher, The Oblivion, on the steel chair to successfully retain her title.

In an interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, former WWE star Afa Anoaʻi Jr. shared his thoughts on the bout. He said that he enjoyed the whole match up until the finish.

According to Anoa'i, the finish should often outweigh the match, but that didn't happen this time. He criticized the ending, stating that the shenanigans involved were very predictable and lazy.

"So match number one, I really enjoyed. It was a really hard worked match. What didn't hit for me was the finish. I thought that the match outweighed the finish. And a lot of times, I'd like to see the finish outweigh the match. It was just to me, very, very predictable. Just the way Dom slid the chair in, jumped up, and grabbed the ref was very lazy. It was just lazy. You know, match number one is the tone-setter of the show. Really good match and I just feel the finish could've been executed better," Anoa'i said.
