Sika Anoa'i and Roman Reigns are just one pair father and son who have wrestled in WWE throughout the years in different generations. Since the latter came from a long line of legendary wrestlers, it's no wonder why there are a lot of expectations set on him, but his father never doubted him for a second.

Roman Reigns began his wrestling journey in 2010 by joining WWE, but his ties with the sport started years before he was born as he is part of the Anoa'i family. Despite this, The Tribal Chief's journey in the sport wasn't easy and he wasn't always looked at as a top superstar. However, one person who never doubted his skills and talent is his father Sika Anoa'i.

During a WWE interview in September 2020, before Roman faced Jey Uso for the Universal Championship, the company interviewed Rikishi, Jimmy Uso, Afa, and Sika Anoa'i about their thoughts on Reigns and Jey and their family dynamics.

When it was Sika's turn to talk about his son, he stated that Reigns was strong and tough. He added that he was proud of the former champion and wanted him to be tough, crazy, and mean, just like him. The Hall of Famer added that Roman was always ready.

What message did Roman Reigns send to Sika Anoa'i after the latter's tragic passing?

On June 25, 2024, it was shared that Sika Anoa'i passed away at the age of 79. Many professionals expressed their grief through various posts, among them is none other than Roman Reigns.

In a recent social media post, Roman Reigns thanked fans and his loved ones for the support and love his father received following the tragic announcement. The WWE star added that his father made a major impact on his family in the business and hopes that he and his sister will be able to represent his legacy in the best way possible:

"My family and I thank everyone for the outpouring of support in the name of my father, Pola'ivao Leati Sika Anoa’i, who will forever be remembered as one half of The Wild Samoans tag team. My father had a profound impact on my entire family and we are forever grateful for the foundation he built for us. There’s no way to fill the void left by his passing but my sisters and I will do our best to represent him and his legacy. Rest in Power, Dad. We love you,"
