What will the match order be at WrestleMania 34?

Ente
Not announced yet, but it's happening

WrestleMania 34 is only 24 days away. 10 matches have been announced and the rest of them are pretty obvious at this point. The final card looks like it will have 14 matches, which would make it one of the lengthiest in WrestleMania history.

Fans are now asking what order the matches will be placed in, which can be just as important as the quality of the matches themselves. What will that order be?

Given recent trends, WWE tropes, and match potential, the following order for the card would be most probable.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#1 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal (Pre-Show)

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Ryoal WrestleMania 34
It hasn't been announced yet, but don't expect it to go anywhere

The placement of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal has been inconsistent over the years, but this year it has the best chance of being the opener. The battle royal has never meant much to whoever's won it, but it's always an entertaining car wreck, which would be an ideal way to open WrestleMania, especially since a few underappreciated fan favorites will find their way into it like always.

#2 Cruiserweight Championship Tournament Final (Pre-Show)

Cruiserweight Championship Tournament WrestleMania 34
We know Cedric Alexander is going to WrestleMania, we still await his opponent

205 Live has been on a roll lately, so it's a shame that the Cruiserweight Championship match won't make the main card, but it is what it is.

In the match, Cedric Alexander will take on either Mustafa Ali or Drew Gulak for the vacant title. It'll be a good work rate-heavy contest to heat the crowd up for later matches on the card.

Neville vs Austin Aries was one of the underappreciated matches of last year's WrestleMania. This one looks to fall into the same mold. Hopefully, it will make the DVD to give the performers a better payday.

#3 United State Championship: Randy Orton (c) vs Bobby Roode vs Jinder Mahal (Pre-Show)

Randy Orton vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal
Not official yet, but it's coming

This wouldn't at first glance seem a strong candidate for the pre-show since Randy Orton is in it. Despite that, there's been no real energy in this feud so far, and other matches have a lot more buzz. It's probably the least exciting title match right now, including the Cruiserweight Championship match.

Roode and Orton are both out of place as babyfaces and Jinder Mahal is less talented than either as a heel. Usually, a mid-card title match is on the pre-show anyway and this is the weaker of the two.

#4 Intercontinental Championship: The Miz (c) vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor

The Miz vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor WrestleMania 34
Three of Raw's most popular stars compete in what could be the show-stealer

This match has "show-opener" written all over it. The Miz, Seth Rollins, and Finn Balor are three of the most over superstars on the Raw brand. Their feud feels fresh, a triple threat involving two of these stars was one of Raw's best matches last year, and the possible return of Finn Balor as the Demon gives it a nice potential for spectacle.

The stakes are high too, as, if Miz gets passed this title defense, he'll be the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in terms of total days of all time.

A combination of work rate heavy action, high stakes, and spectacle means this match has the best chance of opening the show, as it will engage fans and leave them wanting more.

#5 Women's WrestleMania Battle Royal

Women's Battle Royal WrestleMania
More "first-time ever!" on the way

Originally named after the Fabulous Moolah, fan backlash and a protest from Snickers turned the tide and got the name changed.

Since this is the first time this match is happening, expect it to be on the main card. Placing it after the Intercontinental Championship match would also be a nice way to cool fans off from the work rate-heavy action and watch an enjoyable brawl.

That's not to say the match won't have its share of drama, though. It will likely further Sasha Banks and Bayley's feud, with one of them being the likeliest winner.

#6 SmackDown Tag Team Championship: The Usos (c) vs The New Day vs The Bludgeon Brothers

The Usos vs. The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers
Expect a war

This is another match that hasn't been announced yet, but we all know is happening.

The Usos and New Day certainly deserve a spot on the main card after what they did last year. All of their matches were outstanding and that won't change this time. The Bludgeon Brothers, though, add a new element that will make this match a combination of work rate wizardry with the fun of a car crash.

It definitely is another potential show-stealer and will bring energy into the building after the slight cool down of the women's battle royal.

#7 Raw Women's Championship: Alexa Bliss (c) vs Nia Jax

Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax
A preview

Unannounced, but we know it's coming.

WWE will have to be careful with this one. If it's allowed to stray too far, it will turn into a disaster. From a workrate perspective, it's the weakest of the night, but in one week, WWE has done an uncharacteristically good job of selling it and turning into a spectacle.

After Alexa Bliss' hot mic incident this week, audiences want to see Nia Jax crush her. That's where the money is and what the match should be built around.

The spectacle of seeing Alexa Bliss run away from Nia Jax only to get squashed in 5 minutes will be a fun diversion from the war the SmackDown Tag Team Championship match put on and, the even more personal hatred we'll see in the next match.

#8 Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn vs Shane McMahon with Daniel Bryan as Special Guest Referee

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn vs. Shane McMahon WrestleMania 34
Conclusion

Another announced match we know is coming!

This is WWE's longest-running feud. For the past six months, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have trolled Shane McMahon, but have had some problems in staying allies. They brutally took out the SmackDown Commissioner this week.

Old scores will finally be settled once and for all at WrestleMania. Daniel Bryan will insert himself into the role of special guest referee to bring more closure to it all. Who he'll side with and whether Owens and Zayne can stay allies will be the key points of drama in this match.

It should be a good combination of work rate and spectacle. Expect to see Shane O'Mac do some crazy stunts.

#9 Raw Tag Team Championship: Cesaro and Sheamus (c) vs Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman vs. Cesaro and Sheamus
The Monster is going to WrestleMania!

Braun Strowman punched his own ticket to WrestleMania by forcing himself into a Tag Team Battle Royal which he would then go on to easily win.

Cesaro and Sheamus have dominated Raw's Tag Team division. With The Shield and its remnants gone, they have no challengers. Braun Strowman plans on giving the champs his hands.

Will he do it by himself or with a partner? That remains to be seen. This will be a fun car wreck spectacle featuring Strowman doing things only he can do. It will be a nice, entertaining change of pace from the matches its sandwiched between.

#10 SmackDown Women's Championship: Charlotte Flair (c) vs Asuka

Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair WrestleMania 34
Decision made

We know that WWE wants women to main event WrestleMania one day. This match will be a trial balloon for those aspirations. The biggest in the event's history so far, it will feature the two most dominant female wrestlers in the company fighting for the crown in a majestic work rate contest. Correspondingly, it will go late on the card.

There are a lot of high expectations for this match, which fans have dreamed about for years. It should deliver, but it needs the right spot. Going after the fun of the Braun Strowman match but before the next one gives it the best opportunity to shine on its own merits.

#11 John Cena vs The Undertaker

John Cena vs. The Undertaker WrestleMania 34
Called out, the Deadman must respond

It's happening. It's quite a few years too late, but it's happening. After the way John Cena called him out on Monday, Undertaker will have to respond.

Undertaker can't go anymore, so this match will be all about the spectacle of two icons fighting on the biggest stage for the first time. John Cena can probably be relied on to carry it to an OK level in the ring while the atmosphere will certainly be electric.

There is a chance that this match could go later, depending on if it truly is Undertaker's last, but it's useless to speculate at this point. Last year's performance certainly proved that.

#12 WWE Championship: AJ Styles (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura

AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura WrestleMania 34
It's coming

There will be immense pressure on AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. Fans are expecting this match to be the best of the night in terms of ring action. We know the history these two have together. Will it translate over?

Either way, the anticipation for this match, the Royal Rumble winner, and the WWE title at stake means it will happen very late. AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura following John Cena and The Undertaker and, preceding the next match would also be smart placement to change up the atmosphere and not get people too burned out for the main event.

#13 Triple H and Stephanie McMahon vs Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey

Kurt Angle Ronda Rousey Triple H Stephanie McMahon WrestleMania 34
The Authority's fall

This is a good choice to follow the WWE title match and precede the main event. There's a lot of spectacle to it and people will be curious to see how Ronda Rousey performs in the ring, so they'll be into it, even though this is traditionally a 'dead spot'.

Furthermore, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will want to be placed high on the card, because we know they will. Seeing Rousey chase Stephanie around before tapping her out will make the crowd sufficiently energetic.

#14 Universal Championship: Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns WrestleMania 34
Vince McMahon's revenge

This will be the main event because of course, it will be. It's a match four years in the making, a build which started in the very same building where Brock Lesnar broke Undertaker's streak.

The match itself will be a fun car wreck. There's also the added element that it could be Brock Lesnar's final WWE match, which should make things more interesting. We'll find out more when the time comes.

The ending isn't in doubt, though. This match is Reigns' official "coronation" and WrestleMania will close with him holding the red strap high in the air after having finally 'slain the Beast'. Fans will still probably boo him out of the building though. It's too late to change their minds.
