According to various news reports, it appears that WWE legend The Rock had a deal with the US Army that didn't go the way the latter had planned. Daily Beast reported that The Great One had a deal where he had to post five army-related ads on his account on Instagram.
In addition, United Football League, a minor football league, where the WWE legend is a co-owner, would also post army-related ads on its social media accounts, while they would also place them on the respective teams' jerseys.
However, it seems that the deal was not profitable for the US Army, as it didn't bring too many fresh recruits, and they now reportedly want The Rock and UFL to refund them.
"In terms of The Rock, it’s unfortunate he was pulled away at a time when we expected him to be present with us to create content for his social media channels. He remains a good partner to the Army," Col. Dave Butler told Military.com, via Daily Beast.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Per the report, the requested refund is $11 million in total, $6 million from UFL, and $5 million from the WWE legend.
The Rock could return at SummerSlam this weekend
After taking a four-month hiatus, The Final Boss could return at WWE SummerSlam this weekend. The Final Boss had a three-month run with WWE earlier this year, which led to him main-eventing Night One of WrestleMania 40. He also had a big role to play in the proceedings of the Night Two main event.
On the RAW after 'Mania, the Great One confronted Cody Rhodes and challenged him to a title match when he returned to action.
Now that his filming duties are apparently over for now, there is speculation that he will appear at The Biggest Party of the Summer and will go after The American Nightmare. Rhodes will put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Solo Sikoa, and fans expect the megastar, and possibly even Roman Reigns, to return during the match.
Should The Final Boss return, he is expected to collide with Cody Rhodes again, while Reigns will target Solo Sikoa for The Bloodline's bragging rights.
