Liv Morgan is the current Women's World Champion and has emerged as a top star in WWE ever since she returned from her injury before WrestleMania 40. The Judgment Day member has done a great job as a heel and will now put her title on the line against IYO SKY of Damage CTRL, who won a Battle Royal on RAW and became the No.1 Contender for the title.
Liv Morgan has become a megastar during the 10 years she has been with WWE. She signed with the company in 2014, and when she joined NXT, she started performing under her current name. However, her real name is Gionna Daddio, and she comes from New Jersey.
After her stint on NXT, she moved to the main roster in 2017 and spent four years in the Women's Tag Team Division with The Riott Squad. Since 2021, Morgan has been on a singles run and has gotten a push from WWE.
She became Ms. Money in the Bank in 2022, won the SmackDown Women's Championship, and also became a two-time Women's Tag Team Champion alongside her good friend and fellow Judgment Day member Raquel Rodriguez.
Fast forward to today, she is the Women's World Champion and in the middle of a major rivalry with Rhea Ripley, which is expected to come to an end at WrestleMania 41, as The Eradicator is now out injured.
Liv Morgan reveals the importance of wrestling in her life
Liv Morgan recently opened up about her early life struggles and how wrestling helped her deal with them and overcome them.
During an appearance on The IMPAULSIVE podcast with Logan Paul, the reigning Women's World Champion explained how crucial wrestling was for her to find success and peace in her life.
"I grew up a fan of WWE, since I was 5 years old. I have four older brothers and I wanted to be just like them, so anything they liked, I liked. They introduced me to WWE. Growing up in my very chaotic, dysfunctional household, it was my escape, truly. I know everyone says that, but it didn't matter what was going on in my house, it didn't matter what was breaking, what was being thrown, if police were there, WWE on my TV was my saving grace. I just fell in love with it right away — the theatrics, the entertainment, the aggressiveness," Liv Morgan said. (H/T WrestlingInc.com)
Liv will look to hold another title, as she and Raquel Rodriguez will team up to take on the current Women's Tag Team Champions, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, this Monday on RAW.
