It has been several years since Kaitlyn last showed up in WWE. The former Divas Champion competed at the Mae Young Classic Tournament back in 2018 and had a backstage segment in the RAW Reunion a year later (2019).

Before that, she briefly returned to wrestling, taking part in matches on the independent circuit. Kaitlyn moved to WWE back in 2010. She spent four years with the company, first on NXT and then on the main roster. She became a Divas Champion in 2013, kept the title for five months, and then quit in January 2014.

Now, she has been working as a performance coach, focusing on movement and pain relief, among others. She has stepped away from wrestling, even though she has kept the door open for a return.

Back in 2022, she spoke with Renee Paquette on the latter's podcast and revealed that she quit the business for personal reasons.

"I had so much resentment towards myself and that projected outwards and like, I was in self-destruct mode. So, I just asked for my release on a day…it was just like a really shi**y day. I was so disassociated with so much from that day, because it was just so painful. I didn’t understand why I was doing these things, I just was like, ‘I don’t know how to do what I wanna do,’ and for a long time, I hated the way that I left," she said.

A decade later, it appears she has left all this behind, and it wouldn't come as a surprise if she made a return at a major Premium Live Event.

Kaitlyn says she is open to returning at the Royal Rumble

The Royal Rumble Match usually sees superstars return from injuries or WWE legends coming out from retirement for a one-off appearance. Kaitlyn could be such a case this year.

Speaking on the A2theK Wrestling Show, the former Divas Champion revealed that she would be open to wrestling at the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event.

"It depends. I'm always down to do something cool, you know. If it's like cool and fun and like makes sense, I'm always down for that. I had gone to a Royal Rumble a couple of years ago where there was like a possibility that I was gonna be in it, and it ended up not unfolding but I'm like, I have a whole different life now, but WWE is such a big part of who I am. So, I'm always down for stuff that makes sense. I'm always down, that's really cool. And it just hasn't really unfolded that way yet. But yeah, I'm always open to opportunity for something to cross over or to make sense again. Always open for that," Kaitlyn said. [38:02 - 38:41]

The former WWE star has a lot of time to prepare for the event, which is set to take place in Indianapolis on February 1st, 2025.
