“We took that kid, put him back in developmental, repackaged him, set the table for him, and put him into story lines. Last night I’m working with him hands-on. We were riffing, like “This is how we’re going to do this.” Then I watch him come out. I’m in Gorilla with the headset on, trying to get cameras to call it right. And when it’s a fucking home run, it’s just as much juice as me going out there and doing it myself. And listen, I’m not trying to take credit, because it’s all him. If somebody asks me who created Bray Wyatt, I tell them: Bray Wyatt did. We just helped set the table. That’s the whole point. We give these guys every tool possible to succeed.”
This was Triple H talking about Wyatt’s character in a recent interview with Grantland.com. Bray Wyatt, just like Curtis Axel, was part of NXT. He was Husky Harris and like Axel, he’s got a new gimmick and a lot of hype surrounding him and his on-screen family. But unlike Curtis Axel, Wyatt is his own mouthpiece. He’s a better character than Axel because he’s created an extraordinary character revelling in all its outlandish glories.
The Wyatt family, just like The Shield, came and attacked their helpless, singular victim. But there is no doubt that Bray Wyatt is the leader and spokesperson of the Wyatts. And precisely that is why I would not like to see these three in a tag match, because being in a tag team means a certain kind of equality being bestowed upon all the team mates. There is no way that the Wyatts are equal in that sense. Bray Wyatt stands out and is made to stand out. Luke Harper and Erik Rowan are his followers, and hence, his sidekicks. So being a consistent tag team should be ruled out.

The next obvious stop I see for the Wyatts is to target another babyface, and render them unconscious just like Kane and follow this gimmick into the corporation angle. But I see great potential in Wyatt being a babyface. He should remain his creepy, weird self and maybe attack heels. I am not calling for a goody two shoes or a looney toon. He should remain just the way he is and use it to creep the heels. He might as well become the most interesting baby face or maybe if babyface sounds too childish, he might as well become an anti-hero.
That’s because the path that Bray Wyatt’s character follows is too much related to nature, and mingling that with the capitalistic Corporation seem like an oxymoron. He can be an interesting add-on against the Corporation and maybe go on to have a match with the Shield; not for any title but just a plain good feud with interesting promos.
If not that, then I definitely see them trying to recruit more followers, and in the coming months, when we are obviously going to see new alliances with the Corporation angle, it seems to be a trend to increase one’s own stable.
