Brock Lesnar has made several appearances in WWE SummerSlam events throughout the years, and his performances showed why he was nicknamed The Beast Incarnate. In 2015, The Undertaker fully felt the effects of sharing the ring with the former champion.
Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker had an unforgettable feud from 2014 to 2015, with the highlight being at WrestleMania XXX, where the former broke the latter's undefeated 'Mania streak. Many thought that was The Deadman's final match, but he returned the following year and reignited their feud. They faced each other again at the 2015 SummerSlam, wherein the Hall of Famer won. However, the 14-time WWE champion wasn't in a celebratory mood.
After Lesnar vs The Undertaker at SummerSlam, The Deadman left first while the former remained in the ring with Paul Heyman. A fan video showed that he walked weakly on the ramp, and when he reached the end, he had to hold the screen for support before collapsing backstage.
SummerSlam 2015 marked The Undertaker's final appearance at The Biggest Party of the Summer. He had his last bout in 2020 at WrestleMania 36 after defeating AJ Styles in a Boneyard match. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2022.
As for Brock Lesnar, he continued to compete in a part-time schedule, and the following SummerSlam shows. His last appearance at the event was last year against Cody Rhodes. This also marked his latest WWE television appearance, when he was absent after allegedly being linked with Vince McMahon's lawsuit.
WWE SummerSlam 2015 wasn't the first time The Undertaker collapsed after facing Brock Lesnar
As mentioned above, the feud between the former Hardcore Champion and The Beast Incarnate peaked in 2014 at WrestleMania. After the grueling match, the Hall of Famer caused some concern regarding his health after he collapsed backstage.
In his documentary The Undertaker: The Last Ride, the legend said he got concussed early on the match and can't remember his match against Brock Lesnar. His wife, Michelle McCool, said he didn't know where they were, why they were in New Orleans, or his name until 4 AM the following day. When all of this was happening, Vince McMahon and Brock Lesnar were with him.
Speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast in 2021, the Hall of Famer revealed that medical scans showed that he had an unknown neck injury before facing Lesnar at the event.
Despite the health scares, it's fortunate that The Undertaker ended his wrestling run on his terms and is in good health.
