Charlotte Flair is considered one of the biggest WWE Superstars in recent years. Although she is the daughter of Ric Flair, The Queen made a name for herself and proved how good she is in the ring time and time again. Still, there are some perks to being the daughter of the Hall of Famer.
At WrestleMania 39, Charlotte Flair unsuccessfully defended her SmackDown Women's Championship against Rhea Ripley. Both women garnered praise from fans and professionals for their performance, but Ronda Rousey shared that the match exceeded the supposed time frame, which angered the higher-ups. Still, The Queen put her foot down about what they did, and it paid off.
While talking to Cageside Seats in March this year, Ronda Rousey shared that Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley's match wasn't supposed to go for that long with the worry that the crowd might be tired for the following men's matches, and the referee was also telling them to go backstage. However, The Queen refused to do so and the match continued:
“They weren’t supposed to go that long. The whole time the referee is telling them to go backstage and Charlotte threw her big d**k on the table and said 'No, we’re gonna do this awesome fu**ing match.' And that’s what [the women are] dealing with. They’re not allowed to show how fu**ing amazing they are, because ‘Oh, the crowd’s gonna be tired for the guys match afterward.’ That’s bullsh*t.”

Ripley won the match and held the title, which was later renamed the Women's World Championship, until post-WrestleMania XL where she had to relinquish it due to an injury. Flair remained on SmackDown but is currently out of action after sustaining an injury in December last year.
What happened to Rhea Ripley after her WrestleMania 39 match with Charlotte Flair went overtime?
Although WWE didn't punish Charlotte Flair for going overtime at WrestleMania and for seemingly fighting back from the officials, the same couldn't be said for Rhea Ripley.
On Ronda Rousey's second memoir Our Fight, she shared that Flair and Ripley going over 20 minutes at WrestleMania didn't sit well with many producers. While there weren't any mentions of any punishment for The Queen, The Eradicator was punished. The management didn't let her wrestle for a while and made her serve as the valet for The Judgment Day.
It remains to be seen what will happen next in Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair's WWE story.
