Randy Orton's contract was expiring, as the five-year deal he agreed to in 2019 was set to expire in 2024. However, it appears that he has now signed a long-term contract extension with WWE.

According to several reports, the new deal is for five years and will keep the Viper with the Stamford-based company through 2029. The 14-time World Champion has no intention of leaving WWE anytime soon. When the lucrative new deal expires, he will be 50 years old.

After signing a contract extension, Randy Orton has shifted his attention to the World Heavyweight Championship match against Gunther at Bash in Berlin on Saturday, August 31.

Randy Orton reveals major change should he become the new World Heavyweight Champion at Bash in Berlin

Randy Orton has moved to RAW as part of his current storyline with Gunther and the title match at Bash in Berlin.

The Viper appeared on the red brand on the August 12 episode and revealed that if he won the title in Berlin, he would move to RAW permanently, and Gunther would replace him on SmackDown. If unsuccessful, Orton will return to the blue brand to continue his rivalry with Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline.

Meanwhile, The Viper will look to end an almost four-year losing streak at WWE premium live events. The last time he emerged victorious on a PLE was at WrestleMania 37 in April 2021, when he defeated Bray Wyatt.

It has been 40 months since his last win at a PLE, and Orton is hopeful he will snap that losing streak and become a world champion for the 15th time in his career.
