When was Shotzi's last WWE match? Revisiting the star's unfinished business

It has been ten months since Shotzi last wrestled in WWE. The 32-year-old star's last match was on the February 13, 2024, episode of NXT, where she challenged the then-NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria for the title.

During the match, Shotzi suffered a serious injury, tearing her ACL and forcing the referee to call off the match. The former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion had surgery and had to miss ten months of in-ring action to fully recover.

However, during the latest episode of the black and silver brand, Shotzi came back to save Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley following an assault from Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Jazmyn Nyx of the Fatal Influence.

The faction aimed at taking advantage of the numbers game, but Shotzi came out to save Dolin and Paxley, evening the odds. Fans are now expecting the two tag teams to start a new feud and collide in one of the upcoming episodes of NXT or the first premium live event of 2025.

In the meantime, the 32-year-old star will look to build some momentum and go after Roxanne Perez for the latter's NXT Women's Championship.

WWE creative reportedly was "in a panic" when Shotzi tore her ACL

Shotzi's injury turned WWE's main event plans on NXT upside down, as her match against Lyra Valkyria lasted only a few minutes before the referee called it off.

Back on February 16, 2024, WWE insider Dave Meltzer appeared on the Wrestling Observer Radio and opened up about the creative team being in a panic following the 32-year-old star's ACL injury.

"They were in a panic. They were stalling to try to figure out what to do. And maybe nobody else was ready. And she [Lash Legend] had just wrestled. Maybe she was in her gear. Maybe nobody else was in their gear," Dave Meltzer said. [H/T Cultaholic]

For the time being, the most likely scenario is that Shotzi, who returned as a babyface, will align with Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley to feud with the Fatal Influence.
