Bobby Lashley's status with WWE became a topic of discussion among wrestling fans after reports stated that his contract with the company was set to expire soon. From the looks of it, The All Mighty's status as a superstar could be changing sooner than later.

Bobby Lashley's last televised match was on the April 12, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown where he failed to defeat LA Knight and Santos Escobar in a Number 1 Contender's match for the Undisputed Championship. He was supposed to join the King of the Ring tournament but was pulled out due to an injury. In July, it was reported that The All Mighty, MVP, and Tamina Snuka were removed from the company's internal roster.

According to Fightful Select, while MVP's contract has already expired, Bobby Lashley's deal with WWE will run out this weekend. Sources from the site said that during SummerSlam weekend, people in the Stamford-based promotion were under the impression that The All Mighty was leaving soon and they no longer had any creative plans for him.

Is this man the funniest man in wrestling?

Interestingly, Fightful Select also noted that Lashley was discussed at All Elite Wrestling since the status of his contract emerged. Still, no offer was made to the former WWE Champion. The site added that Bobby is interested in returning to MMA and in Japan, and those close to the superstar said he could make at least one appearance on AEW.

Why does veteran believe Bobby Lashley should not jump ship to AEW from WWE?

Many fans theorize that if Bobby leaves the Stamford-based promotion and goes to All Elite Wrestling, he should reunite with The Hurt Business with MVP and Shelton Benjamin, who is no longer in WWE. However, Bill Apter thinks that Lashley going to the Jacksonville-based promotion shouldn't happen in general.

While on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine hosted by Mac Davis, Bill Apter shared that Bobby might find the transfer to AEW hard since the veteran can't think of any other "Heavyweight" that can match Lashley.

"He looks like pumped, and an athlete, he really takes care of himself. Who in AEW would be going against Bobby Lashley who is physically, looks like a monster? I can't think of any 'Heavyweight' in AEW that would be an equal match to him. Who would that be?"

It remains to be seen when and where fans will see The All Mighty next.
