Pat McAfee quickly won over fans with his entertaining high-energy lines on WWE commentary. However, he hasn't been on wrestling television for a while to focus on other obligations, but it looks like he also wouldn't want to miss out on the loaded 2025 the Stamford-based promotion is planning to have.

Pat McAfee is one of many football names who switched to professional wrestling and quickly excelled in the latter. After beginning as a wrestler in 2018, he transitioned to a commentator who gets involved with the action every now and then. On August 19 this year, he announced that he would take a break from commentating to start as an analyst for ESPN's College Gameday. However, it looks like the former Indiana Colts Punter is set to return soon.

While talking to USA Sports at the Netflix Media Day, Triple H confirmed that Pat McAfee will return full-time on Monday Night RAW once the show moves to Netflix next year, January 6, 2025. It was also added that he will reunite with Michael Cole on the red brand.

The Monday show currently has Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett as commentators, while Michael Cole and Corey Graves are the commentators for Friday Night SmackDown.

What did Pat McAfee say about his upcoming WWE RAW return?

Pat McAfee returning to the Stamford-based promotion once it moves to Netflix is an addition many fans anticipate due to his unique commentating style. Despite still being heavily involved in football, it's good to know that the returning personality shares the same excitement about his comeback.

After the announcement was made, McAfee shared that it was an honor to be asked back and it was a childhood dream to work in the Stamford-based promotion. He expressed excitement about working with Michael Cole again and anticipated the company's journey in Netflix.

"An absolute honor to be asked back.. A Childhood dream realized every single time I’m lucky enough to be in an arena with the @WWE Universe. Can’t wait to be talking into a microphone next to @MichaelCole again.. He’s the [GOAT]. I’m excited to tell the worldwide audience on Netflix how great the WWE Superstars are…. and how big of scumbags some of ‘em are too. Let’s go,"

It will be interesting to see what else WWE has in store as it makes its major move on Netflix next year.
