When does WWE go to Netflix? Everything you need to know

WWE will enter a new era in a few months, as its collaboration with the global streaming platform Netflix will begin. Per the company's official announcement, the deal between WWE and Netflix will kick off in January 2025, when Monday Night RAW will move to the streaming platform.

The content will be available in several countries around the world and is expected to expand further. The deal between the two sides doesn't include Monday Night RAW only. It will feature SmackDown, NXT, and all premium live events.

This will be the first time ever that RAW will air from a streaming platform instead of a traditional TV platform. The first episode of the red brand aired in 1993.

Triple H expects the move to Netflix to bring changes to WWE's PG content

Once the deal with Netflix became official, there were questions about what changes it would bring to the company's content and whether it would stay PG.

Chief Content Officer and wrestling icon Triple H revealed that content will be changed, especially what WWE Superstars and fans can say during the broadcast.

"Right now, just as an example of us being on Fox, if the crowd chants, 'Holy s**t' or something much worse, they just take that audio. We won't have those issues [on] Netflix. It's a game-changing moment. I think in many ways, not to disparage other partners because we want to be everywhere, but [streaming is] sort of where the world is heading," Triple H said earlier.

Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have also referred to the company's move to Netflix, sharing the expectation that despite the changes, they will remain as close as possible to their PG direction.
