Saturday Night's Main Event is the next special event the WWE will host and the final one for 2024. Its outcome could set the stage for new storylines on the RAW premiere on Netflix (January 6) and the Royal Rumble (February 1).
The event takes place this coming Saturday, December 14, at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York. This is the venue that hosted the very first Saturday Night's Main Event all the way back in 1985.
The start time for the event is 8 pm ET and NBC will broadcast the show. Saturday Night's Main Event is part of WWE's deal with NBC, which will last through late 2029. Streaming platform Peacock will also broadcast the event simultaneously.
So far, three matches have been announced for Saturday Night's Main Event - The Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes will take on Kevin Owens, Finn Balor will look to dethrone the World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and Liv Morgan will put her Women's World Championship on the line against IYO SKY.
Another match that will be added to the card is the Final of the inaugural Women's United States Championship. With that in mind, let's take a look at the details for Saturday Night's Main Event.

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event Predictions
As WWE has yet to finalize the match card for the upcoming special event, we will attempt to predict what we could see in the three already-announced matches.
Things have become quite personal between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens, and a brawl is expected. Still, The American Nightmare is expected to keep the title, heading to the RAW premiere on Netflix, while Randy Orton could return and assault KO in search of revenge to continue their feud.
Gunther is also the favorite to defeat Finn Balor. The Ring General should win this one and prepare for a feud with CM Punk later in the month and in early Janaury. On the other hand, Damian Priest could interfere and take revenge on Balor, costing him his title match and open the way for a rematch between the two.
As for Liv Morgan, she is expected to retain her title against IYO SKY, since her rivalry with Rhea Ripley is far from over. As WWE is preparing for Part Three between Liv and Rhea, Morgan should keep the title heading into the RAW premiere on Netflix and the Royal Rumble.
Last but not least, the final of the Women's United States Championship tournament should see Bayley and Tiffany Stratton square off in a match that would add more fuel to the current rivalry.
