#6 El Torito
I have to admit, I have always been a fan of the little folks in wrestling. To be honest, some of these guys are just as talented as their bigger counterparts. When I think about El Torito, my mind goes back to the 2014 Extreme Rules pay-per-view.
During the preshow of that event, El Torito faced Hornswoggle in a match that was far from a joke. In fact, many believe that the WeeLC match was one of the best matches of 2014.
Unfortunately, beyond what he accomplished during his time in the WWE, there just wasn’t much more for him to do. However, in Mexico, El Torito is actually a pretty big star. Instead of the El Torito moniker, he is known there as Mascarita Dorada.
Following his release from the WWE, El Torito returned to action in the Mexican wrestling scene, where his wrestling career is still alive and well.
It’s also worth noting that El Torito has always been a strong advocate of protecting kayfabe. During his time off from wrestling, you will never catch him in public without a mask covering his face. This is a common practice amongst the Mexican Luchadores.
Sportskeeda’s 2-Cents: As I said, I have always appreciated what these guys do and how well they adapt to an environment which was not built to accommodate them. They are incredible athletes, with a tonne of talent.
As far as a possible WWE return is concerned, I can see El Torito coming back for a one-off type of scenario. As far as a full-time goes, maybe, but I just don’t see a demand for his services.
