As the premiere episode of WWE RAW on Netflix approaches, more details are being revealed about the red brand's blockbuster move to the global streaming platform. On Thursday, details regarding the venue, location, and date of the premiere of RAW on Netflix were revealed.

As reported by WrestleVotes Radio, WWE will move to Los Angeles for the premiere episode. The Intuit Dome, home of the LA Clippers, will host the event on Monday, January 6, 2025.

The Intuit Dome, which opened its doors on August 15, was rumored to host Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event on November 30, but it will eventually host the historic premiere of RAW on Netflix.

WrestleVotes also reported that the final RAW before the move to Netflix (Monday, December 30) will take place in Houston, Texas, and will be the red brand's last episode on USA Network.

The Monday Night Show will become a two-hour show from October 7 and return to its normal three-hour format on January 6, 2025.

CM Punk opens up on what changes the move to Netflix could bring to RAW

There has been a debate on what changes the move to Netflix could bring to RAW's content and whether the show will continue to be PG going forward. WWE executives have hinted at edgier content, but it is unclear to what extent this will happen.

Meanwhile, CM Punk, who is set to main event the premiere episode of the red brand on Netflix, downplayed these reports, implying that fans should not expect major changes.

During an appearance on KISS FM 103.5 in Chicago, The Best In the World said:

"I don’t think you’re gonna see much difference than what it is now. I think we’re pushing boundaries a little bit here and there. I just kinda wanna temper people’s expectations because I think there’s a section of the fanbase that’s like, ‘Oh they’re going to Netflix, there’s gonna be full-frontal and swearing’ – that’s absolutely not the case...But content-wise, I don’t think you’re gonna see… as much as Rhea Ripley wants to come out there and talk like an Aussie and drop a c-word here and there, I don’t think you’re gonna see that."

WWE will also need to address whether the flagship show will become commercial-free upon its move to Netflix.

Based on the initial reports, WWE executives want to reduce the number of commercials on the show and likely remove them completely from matches.
