WWE NXT Heatwave will be one of the most exciting shows the Stamford-based promotion will put out this weekend. Several title matches and intriguing bouts are set to occur for the developmental brand.

WWE NXT Heatwave will take place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on July 7, 2024. The arena is also the location of this year's Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, which will occur a day before the developmental brand's event.

The 19,800-capacity arena is the home of the NBA's Toronto Raptors and the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs. It was also the location of the 2004 and 2019 SummerSlam, the 2016 Survivor Series, and more weekly shows from the Stamford-based promotion.

What to expect for the upcoming NXT Heatwave this weekend?

Five matches are scheduled for WWE NXT Heatwave, all with gold on the line. Two will be from the women's, while three from the men's division. A match on the pre-show was also recently added, the tag team match between Arianna Grace and Karmen Petrovic against Jacy Jayne and Jazmyn Nyx.

The NXT Tag Team Championship will be on the line for this weekend. While Chase U has been experiencing a better run on the developmental brand, Nathan Frazer and Axiom, have not so much. Axiom isn't the biggest fan of his partner exerting himself too much on the brand, it would be interesting to see if this will play a major factor in their relationship.

The brand's top championships will also be defended for Heatwave. NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez will defend the NXT Women's Championship against Lola Vice. For NXT Champion Trick Williams, he will be in a four-way match against Je'Von Evans, Ethan Page, and Shawn Spears.
