Tonight's WWE NXT will be a special one for many reasons. After RAW made its legendary Netflix debut, the Tuesday show will follow it up with a special television episode of New Year's Evil.

The January 7, 2025, episode of WWE NXT: New Year's Evil will take place at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California. The venue was originally built in 1906, the auditorium can hold a capacity of 6,300 while the Expo Hall can fit 5,000.

The upcoming NXT episode will be the first time WWE will be at the venue, but it has previously hosted high-profile events like the SAG Awards, the Grammys, the Emmy Awards, and The Academy Awards.

What to know about the upcoming WWE NXT: New Year's Evil show?

As of this writing, five matches have been announced to take place tonight at New Year's Evil with one major appearance from a real-life member of The Bloodline.

Fatal Influence has been creating a major problem for the WWE NXT roster lately. Very few stars dare to cross Fallon Henley, Jazmyn Nyx, and Jacy Jayne, except for a returning Shotzi who helped Tatum Paxley and Gigi Dolin against Fatal Influence. Tonight, a six-woman tag team match will take place with the abovementioned stars.

Fallon may not be defending the Women's North American Championship tonight, but something regarding the title will still take place during the episode. The winner of the four-way match between Cora Jade, Stephanie Vaquer, Lola Vice, and Kelani Jordan will become the Number One Contender for the title.

The Heritage Cup will be on the line tonight on WWE NXT. On December 24, Lexis King won the Heritage Cup after an interference from William Regal, Charlie Dempsey's father. Tonight, the 28-year-old is looking to win it back in a Sudden Death Rules match.

The top championships of the brands will also be defended tonight. Roxanne Perez will defend the Women's Championship against Giulia, while Trick Williams will defend the NXT title in a Triple Threat match against Oba Femi and Eddy Thorpe.

Last night, The Rock appeared during RAW's Netflix debut where he delivered a surprisingly babyface promo. Following the segment, he went on Instagram Live where he said he would be present for tonight's show.
