During the Holiday Tour in Jacksonville on December 26, Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship and announced that he would return tonight on WWE SmackDown. Fans last saw him at Saturday Night's Main Event where he had to be stretchered out by officials after The Prizefighter attacked him post-match.

As per Amalie Arena's website, stars like the new Bloodline, Bianca Belair, Nia Jax, Bayley, and LA Knight, are advertised to appear tonight.
