Tonight's WWE SmackDown is one that fans should definitely not miss out as it will be the final one of 2024. Since it will be the last show of the blue brand this year, major appearances and matches are expected to take place.
The December 27, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown will take place at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The arena has a capacity of up to 21,500 and serves as the home of the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Stamford-based promotion held several weekly shows like RAW, SmackDown, Main Event, and more at the Amalie Arena since 1996. It was also the home of a few premium live events like the 2000 Survivor Series, 2011 Extreme Rules, and the 2014 Battleground. The last time WWE had a show at the arena was the February 1, 2024, episode of Main Event.

What to know about the upcoming WWE SmackDown episode?
As of this writing, the Stamford-based promotion hasn't announced any upcoming matches and appearances for the episode. However, one superstar has already confirmed his status for Friday Night SmackDown tonight.
During the Holiday Tour in Jacksonville on December 26, Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship and announced that he would return tonight on WWE SmackDown. Fans last saw him at Saturday Night's Main Event where he had to be stretchered out by officials after The Prizefighter attacked him post-match.
As per Amalie Arena's website, stars like the new Bloodline, Bianca Belair, Nia Jax, Bayley, and LA Knight, are advertised to appear tonight. It is also believed that Jey Uso will battle Chad Gable in a dark match while Pure Fusion Collective will battle Bianca Belair, Dakota Kai, and Kairi Sane. Interestingly, the Japanese star missed this week's RAW after Sonya Deville's group attacked her last week. It remains to be seen if she will also miss the aforementioned dark match.
Last week's WWE SmackDown saw Bianca Belair and Naomi retain the Women's Tag Team title, Carmelo Hayes defeating Braun Strowman, Johnny Gargano defeating Alex Shelley, and The Bloodline defeating LA Knight, Apollo Crews, and Andrade.
