What to expect for the upcoming Friday Night SmackDown?
As of this writing, two title matches have been announced for tonight's WWE SmackDown episode, and three appearances from current and former World Champions.
Last week, Motor City Machine Guns defended the WWE Tag Team Championship for the first time against A-Town Down Under. Following the match, they immediately met their next challengers, the Street Profits. Tonight, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin will go against Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins for the gold.
Another champion who will be in action tonight is Nia Jax. The Irresistible Force has been feuding with Naomi and Bayley for the past few weeks on WWE SmackDown. The Women's Champion has already defended the title against The Role Model, tonight she will go one-on-one with The Glow.
Last week, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton's meeting led to another brawl. The Prizefighter delivered a piledriver, resulting in The Viper becoming motionless and being stretchered out of the arena with Cody Rhodes by his side. It was later announced that he sustained a cervical cord neuropraxia and will be out indefinitely. Tonight, Owens is advertised to appear, along with Cody Rhodes. It will be interesting to see what the meeting between both men will look like.
Aside from Kevin and Cody, Roman Reigns is also scheduled to appear tonight. After Sami Zayn reunited with him and The Usos last week, a WarGames match was made official between the OG Bloodline and Solo Sikoa's Bloodline. It will be interesting to see what is in store for both groups tonight.
