Charlotte Flair has been away from WWE TV since December 2023 after suffering an ACL injury during a match against Asuka. She underwent surgery in the aftermath of her injury and has been on the recovery journey since.

Latest reports reveal that The Queen has been amping up her skills at the WWE Performance Center, and a young gun has been helping the former multi-time Women's Champion achieve her goals. Flair took to social media to shower appreciation on 26-year-old Lainey Reid for helping her in the past couple of weeks.

Lainey Reid made her WWE debut on the March 22nd, 2024 episode of NXT Level Up where she worked a singles match against Jaida Parker in a losing effort. The young superstar's second WWE TV appearance was on May 24, 2024, on NXT Level Up against Jazmyn Nyx, in yet another losing effort.

On the latest NXT Level Up, The Modern Day Southern Belle went up against Kendal Grey and showed off her trash-talking and wrestling skills. She mocked Grey after landing several chops on her and ended the match with a devastating knee strike.

Reid hails from Gadsden, Alabama, USA, and has made quite the mark on the WWE Universe. Wrestling fans have spoken about her in-ring capabilities and are hoping that she has a bright future under Shawn Michaels and Triple H. She is yet to make her WWE NXT main show debut.

Veteran speculates Charlotte Flair's heel turn has already been done on WWE TV

While fans await The Queen's return to WWE TV, it remains to be seen whether she returns as heel or babyface. Interestingly, it's well-known that Charlotte Flair is truly in her element as a heel.

Wrestling veteran Konnan speculated that WWE may reveal The Queen as Jade Cargill's attacker and move ahead with a heel turn when she returns:

"Well, the one thing I do want to say is that they've made the women more interesting. Who laid out Cargill? Is it one of [her WarGames teammates]? Was it Charlotte? They've done great job of maintaing your interest. So kudos to them on that."
