Vince McMahon has been away from WWE since resigning from the Stamford-based company earlier this year amid serious allegations of sexual misconduct. However, some practices from his reign as the Chairman still seem to persist within the company. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the use of the word "belt" remains taboo in WWE.

This stylistic choice has been well documented, as Vince McMahon preferred the term "title" to emphasize the importance and prestige of the championships, believing that "belt" sounded too casual and was associated with holding up pants.

WWE has generated significant revenue by marketing their championships as titles and selling merchandise based on this terminology. Hence, it makes sense that the company continues to uphold this practice, even in Mr. McMahon's absence.

Former WWE head writer believes Vince McMahon has implicated himself in recent Netflix docuseries

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo recently shared his thoughts on the newly released Netflix docuseries, Mr. McMahon, which has been a trending topic in the wrestling community this past week.

According to Russo, the docuseries was produced in a neutral manner, without any particular agenda being pushed. However, he felt that it was Vince McMahon himself who further implicated his reputation through some of the controversial comments he made during the show.

"I feel that they 100% produced this right down the middle. I don't think they tried to put any narrative on it. I don't think they had an agenda. I think that if anybody implicated themselves, it was Vince by some of the things that he said, and I thought it was very very to the point, factual. I don't think they smeared his name in any way, even when they covered the allegations in like the 30 minutes of the show; bro, they just presented the facts," Vince Russo said. [2:08 onwards]
