Bad Bunny made a grand entrance at WWE Backlash for his Street Fight against Damian Priest. San Benito pushed a shopping cart full of weapons to the ring. Bunny’s Backlash entrance was also a tribute to not one, but multiple legends.
The Puerto Rican briefly shouted out Stone Cold while making his way to the ring. Bad Bunny’s WWE theme for Backlash was his 2017 hit “Chambea.” The music video features a cameo from two-time Hall of Famer and 16-time world champion Ric Flair.
Also, Bunny applied a figure four leg lock on Damian Priest during their match at WWE Backlash. The leg lock was popularized by Flair as tribute to his childhood hero and inventor of the move, the original Nature Boy Buddy Rogers.

It wasn’t Bad Bunny’s WWE theme that put the San Juan crowd on their feet. It was the way WWE put together the Street Fight that had fans talking on the internet. The WWE Backlash match also saw run-ins from former superstars Savio Vega and Carlito.
Speaking of Vega, the Attitude Era star handed a customized kendo stick to Bunny during a backstage segment. Vega would then show up during the match to help take out Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio.
Bad Bunny made history at WWE Backlash
San Benito’s performance at the May 6th premium live event sent the internet wrestling community into a frenzy. The international music sensation took an incredible risk to entertain thousands of fans in attendance and millions watching at home.
Bunny’s win over his former tag team partner at WWE Backlash helped him create history in WWE. The Grammy Award winner was also responsible for making Backlash 2023 the most-talked about Backlash event in WWE history.
It remains to be seen if the megastar will make his return to WWE in the future.
