At SummerSlam 2024, Cody Rhodes took on Solo Sikoa with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line. The American Nightmare retained the title at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
While going out to the arena for the match, The American Nightmare was stopped by Arn Anderson, and the duo shared pleasantries. Anderson let The American Nightmare know that he was rooting for him. Rhodes and Anderson's relationship isn't limited to WWE, as they worked together in AEW as well.
Arn Anderson is a professional wrestling road agent and a retired wrestler. He first arrived in WWE in 1988 but left for WCW in 1989. The Hall of Famer returned to the Stamford-based promotion after the closure of World Championship Wrestling in 2001 and continued to work for them till February 2019.
During Anderson's time with WWE, he worked with Cody Rhodes, but he was mostly behind the scenes since he was a road agent. However, it's their history in AEW that truly explains their relationship.

Anderson debuted in AEW on August 31, 2019, assisting The American Nightmare in his match against Shawn Spears. In December of that year, it was revealed that he had signed a contract with All Elite Wrestling to be Rhodes' head coach and personal advisor.
During an episode of Dynamite in June 2021, Cody Rhodes teamed up with Brock Anderson, Arn Anderson's son, for his debut match. The duo defeated QT Marshall and Aaron Solow. Arn and the Undisputed WWE Champion were part of numerous memorable storylines in the Tony Khan-led company.
Roman Reigns returned during Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam 2024
While reports had suggested that Roman Reigns would return at SummerSlam, there wasn't any guarantee. During the main event, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa showed up and brutally assaulted The American Nightmare. However, Kevin Owens and Randy Orton returned to ensure they neutralized the threat.
Jacob Fatu later appeared and annihilated Cody Rhodes by sending him through the announcers table with a massive top rope move.
Well, soon afterward Roman Reigns returned to WWE as The Original Tribal Chief, taking out Solo Sikoa with a Superman Punch and a Spear. However, he did not touch Rhodes, and in fact, let The American Nightmare pin Sikoa for the victory.
