There are many predictions made on the basis of wrestlers’ performance in the recent times that who will win the Royal Rumble. And also which championship will they choose if they win the Rumble. There are many predictions made. Here’s mine:
Randy Orton has won the royal rumble match in 2009. This year could be the same. After officially entering himself in the match, Randy has been main-eventing shows and has defeated top-roster superstars. And there would be no surprise if he wins the rumble. Randy is basically focusing on the World Championship hunt since he lost it in the middle of 2011. He had taken part in many battle royal matches to get the no.1 contender spot. He got a chance in a fatal-four-way in April 2012. But he lost. So, if he wins the rumble, he would, most probably, choose the World Heavyweight Championship currently belonging to Del Rio. Also, Randy himself justified many times that after winning the Royal Rumble, he would be the next world heavyweight champion.

Sheamus
Sheamus was last year’s Royal Rumble winner. The same could be the scene this year. Sheamus was the World Heavyweight Champion till late 2012. But he lost it to the Big Show. Ever since (although not now), Sheamus is focusing on capturing back the championship. He had tried 3-4 times, but failed each time. Winning the Royal Rumble can increase his chances of capturing the title back. He failed against the Big Show, but if Del Rio remains the champion till WrestleMania 29, then Sheamus can defeat him to capture back the title. Although not been confirmed, I don’t think Sheamus would choose the path of the WWE Championship. I think, if he wins, Sheamus will choose the World Heavyweight Championship be defended against him at WrestleMania.
It has been a long time since John Cena entered officially in the Royal Rumble. He was the winner of the match in 2008. Can he do the same? Well, maybe. Because he gets screwed regularly, Cena’s chances are a bit less than the other superstars. But he could still win. Cena was the Raw Money In The Bank winner of 2012. Ever since, he has developed a rivalry with the WWE Champion CM Punk. He got many chances, but couldn’t win any. He himself declared that he would be the next WWE Champion. This gives us signals that Cena could win the Royal Rumble and headline WrestleMania for the WWE Championship.
Ryback debuted last year, but he’s not achieved any important accomplishments since then. Winning the Royal Rumble can be his first important achievement. Although he has not entered himself officially in the match, many others haven’t too. He can be a strong competitor for the other 29 people in the match. He would defintely win the royal rumble if there is no interruption from anyone, like The Shield. He has been in a rivalry with the WWE Champion CM Punk, and will choose the WWE Championship. But rumours of Big Show vs Ryback at WM29 have been going around. So, if Show defeats Del Rio, then Ryback can choose the World Championship path.
Dolph Ziggler
He has entered in the royal rumble officially, and has decreased Cena’s chances of winning it. Also, being accompanied by Big E Langston and AJ Lee, Ziggler can use interruption if his chances to win are less than his expectation. Dolph Ziggler hasn’t won any Royal Rumble in his career, but this can be his year. If he wins the rumble, he would choose the WWE Championship as he already has the Money In The Bank Contract for the World Championship.
Big E Langston
Although he remains with AJ Lee as a bodyguard, and has not entered himself officially in the rumble, Big E has just started making the headlines. He has made a number of surprising acts since his appearance on RAW. Big E doesn’t seems to be participating in the rumble, but if AJ orders it, then its on.
