This one is another logical option. ‘The Chosen One’ was Vince’s handpicked candidate to achieve glory, before he was released from the company. After his release from WWE, Drew went on to become an indie star and soon joined NXT. His main roster has been quite successful to say in the least, winning the Raw Tag Team Titles so early after his re-debut on the main roster.

As far as the booking goes, Brock Lesnar should be the one winning the Universal title at Crown Jewel once again, pissing off the fans. McIntyre could go on to defeat Braun Strowman as a face, before entering and winning the Royal Rumble. A match between ‘The Beast Incarnate’ and ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ at The Grandest Stage of them All, followed by a title win for McIntyre will put him at the top of the food chain, much to the pleasure of fans.

McIntyre has it all- the look, the experience, the agility, the fan support and most importantly, Vince’s support. His feud as a babyface in NXT against Bobby Roode (Oh, Roode. What has happened to you?) was awesome to say in the least. He can surely fill the void created by Reings' departure on the red brand.
