A former WWE personality is regularly in the news and trending on social media. Charly Arnolt is the person in question, but fans of World Wrestling Entertainment and sports entertainment likely best remember her as Charly Caruso.
Charly joined WWE in 2016 after spending time as a sports reporter. She began working as a ring announcer on NXT, but quickly made her way to RAW and SmackDown, where she also had various hosting duties. She left the company in 2021 but has made some controversial moves since then.
Most notably, Charly is part of the controversial OutKick network, which prides itself on "free speech." This has led to her being a guest panelist for numerous controversial interviews and discussions, typically centered around American politics.

However, Charly did return to the sporting world in addition to her work at OutKick. She began working both for WWE and ESPN prior to leaving World Wrestling Entertainment. She then remained with ESPN until 2023.
In addition to her ties with the Stamford-based promotion, Charly also has links to TKO Group Holdings courtesy of a few experiences with the UFC. She has served both as a fight interviewer and as a ring announcer in the Dana White-led company.
Charly Arnolt is one of many interviewers and announcers to leave WWE
Charly Arnolt leaving WWE in 2021 caught many fans off guard and there has been conflicting information to explain the change. Charly has claimed that her contract came to an end and she simply opted not to renew.
However, other reports told a different story. The controversial personality was allegedly late to RAW assignments often. Not only that but there have been reports of issues and incidents between her and names such as Randy Orton and Sheamus. It remains unclear what the true story is.
Regardless, Charly is not the only interviewer or announcer to leave WWE in the past three years. McKenzie Mitchell, the top interviewer of NXT, was released by the company last year. Kayla Braxton also left the company this year.
Perhaps the most notable and shocking exit was Samantha Irvin. The 35-year-old ring announcer was loved by WWE fans, but she opted to leave the sports entertainment juggernaut just last month.
It remains to be seen where some of these talented women land, but it is clear that Charly Arnolt has found a new direction moving forward, albeit one that can be quite controversial.
