Jacob Henry, the son of Hall of Famer Mark Henry, has officially announced that he has signed a deal with the Stamford-based company. He will follow in his father's footsteps, who had an illustrious WWE career.
The 18-year-old wrestler broke the news on Thursday. Jacob was in attendance at Mark Henry's set at Remix Rumble in Cleveland.
This is some big news for the young wrestler who will move to college after finishing high school. Jacob Henry wanted to follow a career in sports, like his father and was playing as a defensive lineman in high school.
Now, he has committed to the University of Oklahoma on a wrestling scholarship, and it is likely that he will also join the university's football team.

"They wanted him to come out for spring football, so you might get to see him out there on that field too as a two-sport athlete," Mark Henry said about his son enrolling at the University of Oklahoma, via TMZ Sports.
Due to his young age and his father's requirement to graduate from college before pursuing a professional career, fans should not expect to see Jacob Henry in the ring soon.
Jacob Henry wants to main event WrestleMania, says his father
Mark Henry couldn't be more proud of his son, who made the first step in pursuing a professional career after signing a deal with WWE. No terms of the deal have been revealed yet, but the 18-year-old prospect will not join the company soon due to his studies at the University of Oklahoma.
In an interview with TMZ Sports, Mark Henry revealed that his son has high aspirations, and his goal is to main event WrestleMania in the future.
"His true passion is pro wrestling. He's not trying to be the Olympic champion. He said, 'Dad, I'm not trying to go to the Pro Bowl or win the Super Bowl.' He said, 'I want to main event WrestleMania. I wanna go to Japan and be champion,'" Mark Henry said.
Once he moves to WWE, Jacob Henry is expected to become part of NXT first.
