CM Punk's feud with Drew McIntyre has reached a fever pitch, and it got even more personal after the Scottish Psychopath stole his rival's bracelet following a beatdown on WWE SmackDown. The Scotsman appeared on WWE RAW tonight (June 25), parading the bracelet that features the names AJ and Larry.
Fans will be familiar with AJ Lee as this is CM Punk's wife, whom he met during his first WWE run. Larry is less known, but he's appeared in the pro wrestling world before and is the Best in the World's pet dog.
Punk and AJ adopted Larry Talbot from a Chicago-based shelter and named him after the Wolfman character from the Universal film Monster. He's been a member of the family for around nine years.
The Second City Saint often shares snaps of Larry on his Instagram account and has brought him to wrestling arenas before. He made a cameo appearance in AEW before the infamous All Out backstage brawl in 2022.
Larry was allegedly involved in the real-life backstage fight between Punk, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks. Some reports claimed the dog was harmed when he was hit by the locker room door, but this has never been confirmed.
It will be interesting to see how personal Punk and McIntyre's feud gets amid the latest chapter involving the former's bracelet. There's a possibility Larry and AJ are used to intensify the storyline further.
The Chosen One announced he's entering the Money in the Bank ladder match. He claimed AJ and Larry would be in his corner because he has the bracelet.
How did Drew McIntyre take CM Punk's bracelet on WWE SmackDown?
CM Punk skipped last week's WWE RAW and opted to show up at WWE SmackDown in his hometown of Chicago instead. He cut a promo at the start of the show before reuniting with Paul Heyman and nearly getting jumped by The Bloodline.
However, CM Punk's night went downhill as a garage door rose and showed him bloodied. Drew McIntyre stood over him and then carried his rival to the entrance ramp.
The Scot threw Punk on the ground before stealing his bracelet, and Chicago's own was driven off in an ambulance. McIntyre had initially 'quit' the company on the red brand, but it was a ruse, and he instead took the rivalry to the next level.
The pair's feud has earned plaudits among fans and they haven't even fought one another in the ring yet. Their issues started on the Road to WrestleMania XL when McIntyre took issue with Punk returning to the Stamford-based promotion.
