WWE Superstar Oba Femi successfully defended his NXT North American Championship against Wes Lee at the recently concluded Heatwave Premium Live Event.
Lee was affected by the loss this week as he addressed his future. Fans in the arena even started chanting "No" as everyone thought he was about to announce his departure from NXT.
This was when Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz, The Rascalz, showed up and reunited with Wes Lee. This marked Lee and Wentz's first appearance together on NXT television since their tag team days as MSK before Wentz was released by the company in 2022.
Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?
The Rascalz, the trio of Miguel, Lee, and Wentz, made their name on the independent scene and Impact Wrestling before Lee and Wentz were signed by WWE in 2020. The duo had a successful run as a tag team called MSK and even held the NXT Tag Team Championship twice before Wentz's release. Wentz has since reunited with Miguel and signed with TNA Wrestling. The duo have been IMPACT Tag Team Champions once.
Since WWE and TNA have started working together, many fans were eagerly anticipating this reunion, which finally happened during the latest episode of NXT.
The Rascalz is seemingly set to have a run on WWE NXT
The Rascalz shocked the world of professional wrestling when they appeared during this week's episode of NXT and reunited with Wes Lee. Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz stopped Lee from what appeared to be an announcement of his departure from NXT.
They said that no one wanted that and declared Wes Lee the greatest NXT North American Champion of all time. Trey also emphasized that MSK was the greatest tag team in NXT history. Wentz expressed his desire to bring MSK back together and ensure that The Rascalz dominate NXT moving forward. They then all came together for a group hug.
It seems that The Rascalz will be making regular appearances on NXT alongside Wes Lee in the near future.
