Fans were in for a shock on tonight's WWE RAW when a rare Odyssey Jones sighting occurred. The 30-year-old star has been absent from TV since being drafted to the red brand in the 2023 Draft. He made quite the impact in his main roster debut by helping The New Day take out The Final Testament.

Odyssey Jones (Omari Jahi Palmer) was born in Coram, New York, on May 17, 1994. He has a sports background, competing in football, basketball, lacrosse, and wrestling at Longwood High School. The Future Favorite majored in sociology at Syracuse University and played 36 games as an offensive guard for the Syracuse Orange football team before a leg injury.

The 405-lb heavyweight's pro wrestling career started in July 2018 when WWE gave him a tryout. He officially signed with the Stamford-based promotion in February 2019 and headed to the Performance Center. The RAW star caught the attention of the higher-ups when he set an 800-lb trap bar deadlift record at the Center. The record was previously held by Alpha Academy's Otis (775lb).

The 6'5" star participated in several dark matches under his real name before his first televised match. This was when the character Odyssey Jones was born, and he took part in the WWE NXT Breakout Tournament (2021) before losing to Carmelo Hayes in the final.

Odyssey Jones spent time in NXT afterward, having several matches before being drafted to RAW last year. He was off TV for an entire year but kept fans updated with weightlifting and non-wrestling appearance posts on his Instagram account. He was redrafted to the red brand at this year's draft event.

However, fans will be able to catch Jones on Monday nights after his eye-catching debut tonight. He took out The Final Testament's Authors of Pain (joint weight of 620lb) with a double slide slam. Strong Island's Finest has finally made his RAW debut.

Is Odyssey Jones replacing Big E in the New Day after his RAW debut?

Odyssey Jones' debut has brought with it a ton of questions, not least why he decided to help the New Day. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods beat AOP but were enduring a post-match beatdown from The Final Testament until Jones came to the rescue.

Karrion Kross has spent many weeks trying to cause a rift between Kingston and Woods. He looks to have failed, but Jones' debut could be problematic, given Woods wasn't overly thrilled once they were backstage.

The New Day has been without its powerhouse, Big E, since March 2022 after he suffered a broken neck. He's been unable to compete since and may never be cleared. This is why fans are asking whether Jones has arrived on RAW as his replacement.
