Kevin Owens looked set to tag with a debutant on WWE SmackDown when a wrestler named Ricky was revealed as his mystery partner. KO chose him to face Austin Theory and Grayson Waller until Randy Orton made it in time to take his place. Unfortunately, Ricky not only didn't compete but also got stunned by his supposed ally.
Ricky Gibson is the man who arrived on the blue brand and ended up with an egg on his face. He's a member of the tag team Midnight Heat and partners with Eddie Pearl in WCWC in the independent circuit. The 6ft 200-pound Gibson has also performed under the 'Cosmic River' alias. He was part of a faction called 4 Minutes of Heat, appearing in other promotions such as Don't Own Anyone Pro Wrestling and West Coast Wrestling Connection.
Ricky 'Rockin' Gibson was born and still resides in Portland, Oregon. He's a former WCWC Tag Team Champion with J-Sin Sullivan. He started his professional wrestling career in 2005 and has 19 years of experience. He can be followed on Instagram @rockinrickyg, where he posts such as one celebrating Midnight Heat's tag title reign.

Kevin Owens gave him good exposure by calling him for a WWE SmackDown appearance. It ended in disaster, though, as he was hit with a Stunner and didn't get to show fans his in-ring abilities.
It's unlikely Ricky will make another appearance in the Stamford-based promotion. He and Eddie Pearl have a huge match on the horizon, as they'll collide with AEW's FTR at Roseland 9 on September 29.
Kevin Owens, meanwhile, dealt with A-Town Down Under's troubles on WWE SmackDown by beating them with his partner Randy Orton. It remains to be seen how The Prizefighter came to know the independent wrestler.
