Seth Rollins has punched his ticket to WWE Night of Champions after an epic performance in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. He defeated Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura in the first round and followed it with a win over Finn Balor in the semi final, which was part of Monday Night RAW.
The Visionary's opponent for the World Title match will be decided on SmackDown. Austin Theory, AJ Styles, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio, and The Miz are scheduled to participate in a format similar to RAW, in order to stake a claim against Rollins. Among those names is a veteran who had to relinquish his World Heavyweight Championship two decades ago due to a neck injury. Yes, you guessed it right, it is that man, Edge!
WWE Night of Champions could feature a rerun of the showdown at Crown Jewel 2021. Edge vs. Seth Rollins was a high-voltage feud that should've have lasted longer. The Rated-R Superstar beat Rollins thrice in succession, including the bout at SummerSlam, after which he eventually formed The Judgment Day.
Edge's history with the World Heavyweight Title, as well as being the first star to get booked for WWE Night of Champions will make for a surreal full-circle moment, although the roles might be reversed. It seems unlikely that Seth Rollins would revert to his evil form that was on display two years ago.

A victory for The Rated-R Superstar, followed by his shift to RAW could result in a long-term program with Seth Rollins. A heel Edge feuding with The Conductor of his Own Symphony is the best way to head towards the summer.
WWE Night of Champions: A summary of Seth Rollins vs. Edge
The dream rivalry between the two charismatic stars started when Seth cost Edge his Universal Championship match at Money in the Bank 2021. This led to a series of brawls on Friday nights. After a lot of back-and-forth, The Ultimate Opportunist challenged Rollins at SummerSlam and made him tap out.
Even after the Draft changed things, the rivalry between Seth Rollins and Edge kept getting more personal. The Visionary broke into the legend's house and threatened his family. It eventually led to a one-on-one Hell in a Cell Match at Crown Jewel. Prior to that showdown, Edge had beaten the former Universal Champion on an episode of SmackDown.
Both rivals made amends following that match. Edge had a newfound respect for Rollins after barely surviving in the Hell in a Cell Match. What started as a heated program due to a missed title opportunity amounted to a series of intense matches.
Will fans see a similar scenario crop up at WWE Night of Champions? Time will tell.
